Public Health reports another new COVID case in the Saint John region today – a person in their forties and it is travel related. We currently have 12 active cases in the region.

The other 9 confirmed cases today are in the Edmundston region. Six of the cases are contacts of previously confirmed cases while the other 3 are under investigation. Two schools in the northwestern city have been impacted – one is dealing with an additional confirmed case of COVID while the other is handling a possible exposure related to April 12th.

Public Health says 7 people have been listed as recovered since yesterday with the total number of active cases at 153. Twenty people are in hospital – 12 of them in intensive care while the COVID death toll remains at 33.
