The final vaccinations in licensed Long Term Care homes are taking place today. Public Health says more than 11,000 residents of the homes have been vaccinated with at least their first dose of vaccine in more than 560 locations around the province.
Today also marks the beginning of vaccinating those 85 years of age and older. A media photo-op featuring the first New Brunswicker to be vaccinated by a pharmacist is taking place this afternoon in Fredericton. This phase of the vaccination program is being handled by appointment only through pharmacies around the province. More details on the Vaccination Plan can be found here.
Clinics for First Nations community members 16 and over are also expected to be completed this week.
