The spike in the number of COVID cases in the province is being fuelled by the under 30s age groups. Chief Medical Officer of Health – Dr Jennifer Russell – says more than half of the 105 active cases in the province are people under 30. Russell says they can be contagious and don’t realize it – so she offers some advice:

Twelve new cases were confirmed today with 8 of those cases here in the Saint John region – three in the Fredericton central NB region – and one in the Moncton region. The Fredericton region is being elevated to the Orange Level at midnight tonight while the Saint John and Moncton regions remain at the Orange Level.
