Public Safety is wrapping up the 2021 River Watch program today. The department says water levels in the Saint John River basin continuing to return to normal levels.

Only minor flooding has been reported in some areas this year. It is one of the shortest River Watch programs in recent memory. The program was launched on March 10th providing information on the statues of rivers and potential for ice jams and other flood issues.

As the flood watch program ends today – another seasonal milestone is marked – today is the beginning of the Forest Fire season.
