Interest in becoming the next mayor of Saint John is building. Today – businessman Mel Vincent announced he is offering for the post.
Vincent has also held positions at all levels of government. His father – Mel senior – was the longest serving member of Common Council sitting at the horse shoe council table for over 30 years.
Vincent wants increase our population – grow development – and lower the poverty rate.
He joins Councillor Donna Reardon in the race for mayor. Mayor Don Darling is not seeking a second term of office. The municipal elections are being held on May 10th after being postponed last year due to the outbreak of COVID-19.
