
A spike in the daily COVID count – Public Health is reporting 8-new cases in the province today. The Fredericton Central area is the hardest hit with five cases – there are two new cases in the Edmundston region currently in the Orange Level – and – one in the Moncton region.
Two of the new cases are related to travel – while five cases are linked to previously confirmed cases. The other case is under investigation.
The number of active cases in the province now sits at 51 with three people in hospital – two of them in intensive care units. Eight New Brunswickers have died of COVID related complications since the pandemic was declared in mid-March.
