Public Health reports there are 9 new cases of COVID confirmed since yesterday. Six cases are in the Moncton region with three of those travel related while three are contacts of previously confirmed cases. And an outbreak has been declared at a special care home in Shediac after a worker tested positive for COVID.
The other three cases are in the Fredericton region and all are contacts of previously confirmed cases.
Public Health says 9 people have recovered since yesterday and the number of active cases in the province is now 134 including 17 in the Saint John region. Ten of those active cases are self isolating out of province. Five people are in hospital – four here in New Brunswick and one patient is in hospital in an intensive care unit out of province. The COVID related death toll remains unchanged at 43.
