The vaccines continue to roll into the province. The latest schedule shows we are scheduled to receive 21,060 doses of the Pfizer vaccine this coming week.

Our next scheduled delivery of Moderna vaccine is set for the week April 19th. As of yesterday – we have received a total of 211,545 doses of the approved COVID vaccines. The Health Department reports 150,106 doses have been administered so far with 134,547 people in the province receiving at least one dose of a COVID vaccine so far.

Chief Medical Officer of Health – Dr Jennifer Russell – says the goal remains to have every New Brunswickers wanting the vaccine to have at least the first dose by mid to late June. Russell says getting shots into arms is even more critical now that the COVID variants have entered the province. Currently we are dealing with the U-K variant – but – two other variants have been found elsewhere in the country.
