Crews continue to work to clean up the wintery mess dumped on the greater Saint John region yesterday. The storm left behind 9.5 cms of snow and 25.5 mm of rain. And after a few days of windchill temperatures in the the minus 15 to minus 20 range – our high topped out at a balmy 5 degrees.
The storm forced the closure of schools yesterday – but – they are open today in this region. Driving was also a challenge with a large section of Highway 2 under a “Travel Not Recommended” advisory for the better part of yesterday. The advisory has been lifted – but – conditions still aren’t the best with caution being advised on all routes in our region.
