Changes to the provincial Liquor Control Act will see a mandatory online course for anyone who serves and sells liquor. The online course will be delivered by the Tourism Association of New Brunswick – and – has been approved by MADD Canada as meeting national curriculum standards.

The course will be offered free of charge from now until March 31st of next year thanks to a $150,000 grant from the Department of Post Secondary Education – Training – and Labour department. Information on the program is available here.

Other changes to the Act allow the sale of liquor with food orders for take-out or delivery and became effective on May 01st. Restaurants and pubs had been granted temporary permission to do so under the mandatory state of emergency. Bringing it under the Liquor Control Act makes it a permanent feature.
