Good news on the vaccine front today – Chief Medical Officer of Health – Dr Jennifer Russell – says vaccinations are now open to those 50 or over. Russell also says vaccinations are now available to people 16 years or older with at least 2 chronic conditions.
Meantime – Public Health is reporting 4 new cases today – all travel related. There is one new case here in the Saint John region – one in the Moncton region – one in the Fredericton River Valley region – and one in the Bathurst region.
There are 141 active cases in the province including 20 here in the Saint John region. Six people are in hospital – two of them in intensive care. And Public Health reports 850 currently self isolating around the province. The COVID death toll remains at 38.
