5 year old James Taylor (Make A Wish Image)

(NOTE – We have corrected James’ last name from previously posted copy – we apologize for the error)

A sad ending to what started as a happy day with people from all over the Saint John region and southern New Brunswick coming together to grant a dying boy’s final wish. Five year old James Taylor’s wish was to have a parade with police and fire vehicles – constructions vehicles – trucks – cars – and bikes.

And that wish was granted this morning by hundreds of emergency responders – businesses – and people on motorcycles – antique cars – trucks and school buses parading by the area of the Regional Hospital where he was resting.

His mother reports James was excited by this morning’s parade – his wish come true. Tonight – we learn little James has passed away after a brave battle with a number of medical conditions including a failing liver. Hiis mother says doctors told the family yesterday that James had only 2 days to live. She says today was a special day and she is appreciative of all the help offered to the family – and – of people taking time out of their day to become part of James’ day making his wish come true.

Police motorcycles from Saint John – Kennebecasis Regional – and Fredericton lead the parade for James granting his final wish
