November will end and December begin in a very tropical fashion here in the Saint John region. Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning as an intense slow moving system pushes up the east coast headed in our direction. The weather office says the rain will begin tonight and continue through tomorrow into Wednesday. Localized heavy downpours are being forecast with rainfall amounts between 70 and 120-mm but some areas could see more than the 120-mm of rain.

The weather agency warns this type of rainfall can lead to flash flooding and washouts so extreme caution is advised. Temperatures will be mild with double digit highs expected tomorrow and Wednesday.
