Public Health is reporting a spike in the number of new COVID in the province today. Fourteen new cases have been confirmed – 9-here in the Saint John region with six of those at the Shannex Parkland complex in Millidgeville.

Four of the new cases are in the Moncton region while the other is in the Bathurst region – that one is travel related. There are 119-active cases in New Brunswick with one person in hospital as a result – the rest are self-isolating. Seven deaths have been reported in the province since the pandemic was declared in March.

Meantime – Public Health says the next round of testing at the Shannex complex in Millidgeville will be carried out over a two day period beginning tomorrow. The Provincial Rapid Outbreak Management Team remains at the complex providing support to clinical staff and residents.
