Health Canada says it is waiting for additional information and data on AstraZeneca’s COVID vaccine. The company’s vaccine was approved by U-K Health Authorities this week.
Health Canada says it has been reviewing the vaccine since early October as submissions are received from the manufacturer. The federal agency says it can’t provide a timeline for completion of the review. The agency says it is working to approve COVID-19 vaccines as quickly as possible “without compromising its safety, efficacy and quality standards.”
