Provincial Green party leader David Coon says yesterday’s budget is lacking vision to combat the climate crisis. Coon says there is no money for public transportation or expansion of renewable energy production.
The Green leader is also critical of the Higgs government’s commitment of 10 million dollars to nuclear technology that doesn’t exist yet – but – only giving 5 million dollars to deal with the mental health crisis in the province.
Coon wanted to see help for seniors and those with low incomes receive help to save on energy bills.
