There is good news for the trucking industry today – the provincial Transportation Department says the Spring weight restrictions for trucks will be lifted at midnight tonight in the southern part of the province. The restrictions in the northern area of the province are scheduled to be lifted at midnight May 09th.
The restrictions reducing the maximum weight of transport trucks are designed to protect the highways during the Spring freeze-thaw cycles. More information for truckers can be found here.
