Common Council is being asked to approve an agreement that clears the way for demolition of the former Bargain Shop/Woolworth building at 91 King Street and the building next door at 85 King Street.
The 4 month agreement is for closure of a portion of South Market Street to allow for space to complete the demolition on that side of the property.
The two properties were recently purchased by local developer Percy Wilbur who plans to construct a multi-residential building with ground floor commercial space.
