Two contracts key to redevelopment of a prime piece of waterfront property have been approved by Common Council. The first contract is for engineering services for site work at the former Coast Guard site. Dillon Consulting is the successful bidder in the amount of $438,780 plus HST including a $100,000 contingency allowance.
The second contract goes to Alternative Concrete Technologies for the repair and upgrade of the seawall on the site as well as a storm sewer outfall project in the area. That contract is worth just over 8.4 million dollars including a $500,000 contingency allowance plus HST.
The site preparation is necessary before the Fundy Quay commercial – residential development can proceed. Work on the site preparation is expected to begin soon.
