A new bylaw dealing with fees for various services provided by the Saint John Fire Department is expected to receive final approval from Common Council tonight.
The fees cover a variety of services including charges for non-residents drivers involved in collisions to which the department responds – “nuisance” fire alarm calls – and “nuisance” recreational fires. Other fees cover investigations and additional inspections outside regularly scheduled fire inspections.
