Public Health is confirming the death of a person in their seventies in the Edmundston area today. This latest death brings the number of COVID related deaths to 35.
Two of the 8 new cases are here in the Saint John region with both contacts of previously confirmed cases. One new case is confirmed in the Moncton region and is under investigation. Three cases are in the Fredericton River Valley region – one of those cases is travel related while the other 2 are contacts of previously confirmed cases. There are two new cases in the Edmundston region – both are contacts of previously confirmed cases.
Public Health says 19 people have been listed as recovered since yesterday and the number of active cases is now 136 including 14 in the Saint John region. Eight people are in hospital with three in an intensive care unit.
