Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr Jennifer Russell and Health Minister Dorothy Shephard will provide an update on the COVID situation and response this afternoon. Last week Russell indicated if numbers remained stable the province would move into a revised Yellow Level at midnight this Sunday. Since that time – there has been an uptick in cases in the Miramichi region including confirmation of a case of the U-K variant.
Public Health started mass testing in the Miramichi region yesterday with another clinic underway today. Yesterday saw long lines of people waiting to be tested.
