Public Health is reporting 18-new cases of COVID in the past 24-hours in the province including 8-new cases here in the Saint John region. Also included in that number is 2-new cases at the Shannex complex in Millidgeville. There are now 20-confirmed cases at the complex – 13-residents and 7-employees.
That brings the total number of active cases in the province to 143 including 31-active cases here in the Saint John region. There is a bit of good news in the numbers – no one is in hospital. The pandemic has claimed 9-lives since mid-March of last year.
Chief Medical Officer of Health – Dr Jennifer Russell – says she is expecting a jump in numbers over the weekend related to New Year’s celebrations.
