New testing at the Shannex complex in Millidgeville has turned up another confirmed case of COVID. The company says all residents and employees were tested on Tuesday with one employee working in the quarantine area testing positive while all residents were negative.
That brings to 20 the number of confirmed cases at the seniors complex with 11-residents – 8-employees – and one non-Shannex employee testing positive over the past couple of weeks since an outbreak was declared by Public Health.
The good news is nine of the 10-residents being cared for in the quarantine area are considered recovered by Public Health. Six of the eight employees who tested positive have also recovered and been cleared by Public Health and the company’s Occupational Health Team.
All residents and employees are scheduled for retesting today.
