Prime Minister Juston Trudeau is asking Canadians to pause today and remember the just over 22,000 Canadians – including 29 New Brunswickers – who have lost their lives to the COVID-19 pandemic – and – front line essential workers who continue the battle against the virus.
It has been a year since the pandemic was declared and the first cases as well as deaths began to be reported across the country. It has also been a year since a nation wide lockdown was ordered. Today – vaccine supplies are arriving and clinics are beginning to ramp up. Here in New Brunswick public health officials are hoping to have administered at least one dose of vaccine by summer to everyone wanting a vaccination.
The Prime Minister will rise in the House of Commons this morning at 11 to deliver a statement to mark this National Day of Observance for COVID-19.
