A year ago today – New Brunswick’s first confirmed case of COVID was announced. A year later – Public Health reports there are just two new confirmed cases of COVID since yesterday.

Both cases are in the Moncton region – one a person in their thirties and the other in their forties. Both are self isolating and contact tracing is underway.

Two people are listed as recovered since yesterday while three people are in hospital – two of them in intensive care. There are 34 active cases which includes two in the Saint John region. Twenty-nine people have died of COVID related complications since the pandemic was declared a year ago today.
