Spring may be just over two weeks away – but – you would never know it as you step outside today. Strong winds behind the storm system earlier this week continue to blow through the air bringing a blast of Arctic air.
Windchills overnight dipped into the minus 20 range again – and – today the “feels like” temperature will be in the minus 10 to 15 range as the wind eases slightly. Tonight – the windchill will be in the minus 16 range.
Winds overnight Monday and into yesterday were gusting as high 80 km/h.
Looking ahead there is some relief – temperatures will begin to moderate as we head into the weekend with a promise of a high in the 7 degree range by Tuesday.
