RCMP have charged a 41 year old St George man in connection with an incident on Tuesday morning. The Mounties say they responded to reports of a van with four flat ties blocking the L’Etete Road around 7:45.

As police arrived on scene – they were told the man responsible was armed and staying at a nearby home. Police set up a perimeter and informed local schools as a precaution. A man exited the home and surrendered without incident at 8:30am. No one was injured and two guns were seized.

Henry Sargefield appeared in provincial court today by tele-remand – and – has been charged with two counts of pointing a firearm – possession of a firearm for a dangerous purpose – two counts of uttering threats – and one count of mischief under $5000. Sargefield will remain in custody and is scheduled to make another court appearance April 06th for a bail hearing.
