The Chief Medical Officer of Health is putting a halt to any planned sports tournaments over the holidays. Dr Jennifer Russell says now is not the time for these types of events – the risk is just too high:

Russell along with Health Minister Dorothy Shephard and Premier Blaine Higgs all made appeals to New Brunswickers to keep gatherings small over the holidays avoid any unnecessary travel and follow public health guidelines for physical distancing – wearing of masks – and frequent washing of hands.
