The Edmundston region has been cleared to return to the Yellow Level of pandemic recovery effective at midnight tonight. Chief Medical Officer of Health – Dr Jennifer Russell – made the announcement during an news conference this afternoon saying a slow growth in new cases is one reason but there are other factors:

Edmundston was moved to the more restrictive Orange Level almost two weeks ago following an outbreak being declared at the local hospital. That will place all areas of the province at the Yellow Level for the holiday period meaning fewer restrictions for residents.
