Summer is just over a week old – and – already high temperature records in the Saint John area are being broken. The high temperature recorded yesterday was 30.2 Celsius topping the previous record of 29 Celsius set on June 28th in 1991 – not quite the record breaking heat being experienced out West – but – comfortably warm by Saint John standards.

The high temperature record for today is 29.2 Celsius set in 1997. The forecast is calling for a high today of 21 at the coast and 27 in suburban areas with “feels like” temperatures of 31 at the coast and 34 in the suburbs.
