The provincial government will increase the minimum wage by 5 cents an hour to $11.75 on April 01st. The minimum wage is tied to the provincial consumer price index rounded to the nearest five cents. The New Brunswick consumer price index grew by 0.22 percent in 2020.
About 20,000 workers are minimum wage earners in the province – that’s about six percent of thee paid workforce.
