Despite the relatively mild winter this year – the freeze/thaw cycles have still taken a toll on city roads.
The City says crews have been out with two asphalt recycler units to begin pothole repairs. Three crews have been working on main streets since early this month to get a head start on repairing winter damage.
The hot asphalt plants in the area open on Monday for the construction season. The City says the plan is have up to 5 crews out working on a pothole repair blitz working on all streets next month.
