A review of the COVID tests performed by Age Group on the NB COVID Dashboard is revealing people in their fifties have been hardest hit with COVID to date. The chart shows 35,700 tests have been performed on that age group resulting in 250 positive cases of COVID. The next highest number of confirmed cases sits with those in their twenties where 249 cases have been confirmed through just over 34,000 tests.

People in their thirties have had the highest number of tests performed – 38,900 resulting in 210 positive cases. Those in their forties have the third highest number of confirmed cases – 219 based on 36,000 tests – while people in their sixties have the fourth highest number of confirmed cases – 214 based on just over 27,000 tests.

As of yesterday – Public Health reports a total of 1577 confirmed cases of COVID in the year since the pandemic was declared with 1432 listed as recovered and 30 COVID related deaths. As of yesterday – a total of 252,232 tests have been performed while 75,046 people have received at least one dose of a COVID vaccine.
