COVID has claimed another New Brunswicker. Public Health reports a person in their eighties in the Edmundston region has died as the result of COVID-19. The individual was a resident of a special care home in Grand Falls – but – passed away in hospital. This latest death brings the COVID death toll to 37.
Public Health reports 6 new cases today including 1 here in the Saint John region who is a contact of a previously confirmed case. The Moncton region is reporting one case which is under investigation. There is also one new case in the Bathurst region which is travel related. The other 3 cases are in the Edmundston region and all are contacts of previously confirmed cases.
Since yesterday 10 people have been listed as recovered. The number of active cases in the province is 137 including 19 here in the Saint John region. Four people are in hospital – two of them in intensive care.
