Saint John Police say a North End raid yesterday has removed a large quantity of drugs from the streets.
A combined force of the Street Crime Unit – Emergency Tactical Squad – and Kennebecasis Regional Police swooped in on the North End location armed with a warrant. They seized a large quantity of what is believed to be crystal meth – cocaine – and prescription pills. They also seized some weapons and a large quantity of cash.
Police say 5 people were taken into custody with 2 facing several charges while the other three were released without charges. A court date for the two facing charges has not been set.
