The number of confirmed cases in the Saint John region continues to increase. Public Health says five new cases have been confirmed today while one new case has been confirmed in the Fredericton/Central New Brunswick region.
The new cases in our region include 3 people 19 and two in their twenties. The case in the Fredericton region is a person in their thirties.
Public Health confirms a case of COVID in Hampton Middle School and Simonds High School while staff and parents at Harbourview High have been notified about a possible exposure to COVID. So far – no student to student transmission has been confirmed in any of the three schools.
Meantime – all tests from the Shannex Parkland Complex in Millidgeville have been processed with no new cases reported. Four people at the retirement complex tested positive for COVID late last week.
Both the Saint John and Moncton regions remain at the Orange Level with single family “bubbles” and other restrictions in place. Information on the Orange Level restrictions can be found here.
The latest numbers bring the total number of active cases in the province to 77. The one person hospitalized last week has been released.
