Federal Health Minister Patty Hajdu says the first doses of the Moderna COVID vaccine are rolling out to the provinces and territories this week. The vaccine was approved by Health Canada last week. It joins the previously approved Pfizer vaccine in the battle against COVID.

Almost 1900-health care workers and seniors in care facilities received the first doses of Pfizer vaccines during clinics in Miramichi on December 19th and 20th. Just over one thousand front line health care workers received their first doses of the Pfizer vaccine during clinics in Moncton on December 23rd – 24th – and 27th.
