Premier Blaine Higgs wants the federal government to step up the number of doses of COVID vaccines to our province.
The Premier says we have received 8500 doses of vaccines so far with another 6500 coming next week.
Higgs says we have the capacity to receive and vaccinate up to 45,000 people a week at minimum:
Chief Medical Officer of Health – Dr Jennifer Russell – says about 75-percent of New Brunswickers want the vaccine and she would be happy to have at least 60 to 70-percent of those people wanting it – vaccinated by the end of September.
