It may seem like you just got settled in – and – now the reminder has been issued. The provincial Environment Department is reminding with ice fishing shelters it’s time to remove them.

The department says the shelters must be removed no later than Monday – March 08th here in the southern part of the province while Monday – March 15th is the deadline in the northern New Brunswick. Despite the need to remove the shelters including all garbage and debris – ice fishing season is open until March 31st.
