Public Health is reporting five new cases of COVID in the past 24 hours. Two cases are in the Moncton region – people in their twenties and are travel related. The other three cases are in the Miramichi region – one is a person 19 and under while the other two are people in their forties. The three cases are linked to a previous case. All five people are self isolating.

Four people are listed as recovered since yesterday and the number of active cases sits at 36 including two here in the Saint John region. Three people are in hospital – one of them in intensive care. Twenty-eight COVID related deaths have been recorded since the pandemic was declared a year ago.

Meantime – Public Health says all of the results from the 2434 tests conducted during mass clinics in Miramichi last Thursday – Friday – and Saturday have been processed. All tests were negative.
