Public Health is reporting five new cases of COVID confirmed in the province in the past 24-hours. Two are in the Fredericton Central region – one person under 19 and the other in their sixties. One case is related to travel while the other is a close contact of a known case.
The other three cases include a person in their twenties in the Campbellton region – one in their fifties in the Bathurst area – and one in their fifties in the Miramichi region. All of these cases are travel related.
The number of active cases in the province sits at 46 today. Two people remain in hospital – one in intensive care. Eight New Brunswickers have died of COVID related complications. The entire province remains in the Yellow Phase of recovery.
