A fire at the west side container terminal causing concern this morning as dark smoke drifted over the harbour. Port Saint John Communications Director – Paula Copeland – tells newsysj.ca the fire broke out in one of the DP World container handling vehicles. The blaze was confined to the vehicle.
Saint John Fire crews quickly snuffed out the flames and Copeland says there were no injuries. She says the Port activated its Emergency Response Plan to assist the fire department and DP World.
