An announcement is set this morning that will see federal funding to support a “research cluster” for small nuclear reactors in our region. In a social media video posted yesterday – Saint John – Rothesay MP Wayne Long said today’s announcement will be a “game changer” for the region.
The Higgs government has already announced a 20 million dollar investment ARC Clean Energy Canada which is working on development of the modular reactors.
The announcement is scheduled for 10 this morning at the Marco Polo cruise terminal.
