Public Health confirms 8 new cases of COVID in the province today. One case is here in the Saint John region and is travel related.

Four cases are in the Edmundston region – two are related to a previously confirmed case while the other are 2 are under investigation.

Two cases are in the Moncton region with one case being travel related while the other is under investigation. There is also one case in the Bathurst region which is deemed travel related.

Public Health reports 9 people have recovered since yesterday. The number of active cases now stands at 140 including 10 cases here in the Saint John region. Eighteen people are in hospital including 12 in intensive care. The COVID death toll remains at 33. (Number of recovered revised by Public Health)

Meantime – a section of the Zone 4 Edmundston region will move from the RED Level to the Orange Level at midnight tonight. The move includes Grand Falls – Saint-Léonard, Drummond – New Denmark – and – Four Falls. Edmundston and the Upper Madawaska region will remain in LOCKDOWN. The Saint-Quentin and Kedgwick regions will remain in the Yellow level.
