Edmundston region voters cast their ballots tomorrow in civic elections. The elections were originally scheduled for May 10th but were delayed after a significant COVID outbreak forced the region into a Lockdown.

The rest of the province voted as scheduled on May 10th but results have been on hold thanks to a provision in the Municipal Elections Act last year which prevents results being released until all voters have cast ballots.

Voting machines in the rest of the province were sealed and shipped to Fredericton. The process of downloading the results from each machine begins tomorrow morning at 9. The information will be loaded into the Elections New Brunswick system for release shortly after 8 tomorrow night. You can watch the process of downloading the information from each machine here.
