The Edmundston region remains the COVID hotspot in the province. As of yesterday there were 175 active cases in the province – 127 of them in the Edmundston region which remains in the RED Level. And of the 14-new cases reported yesterday – 12 of those cases were in the Edmundston zone.

By comparison – the Moncton region which recently came out of the RED Level to Orange has 28 active cases – here in the Saint John region we have just 4 while the Fredericton River Valley zone is reporting 13 – the Campbellton region doesn’t have any active cases – the Bathurst zone has 2 and the Miramichi region has just one case.

Four cases of the U-K variant of COVID have been confirmed in the province in the last ten days.

Since the beginning of the pandemic last March – 1375 cases of COVID have been confirmed with 1178 people listed as recovered. Twenty-one COVID related deaths have been recorded in the province.
