The Higgs government is expanding the COVID vaccination program to now include anyone over 18 years of age. You can schedule an appointment at clinics hosted by the Horizon and Vitalite Health Networks or at participating pharmacies.
Chief Medical Officer of Health – Dr Jennifer Russell – says we are on target to have 50% of the population with at least one dose of COVID vaccine by the end of the week.
Meantime – discussions are underway about a vaccine roll-out plan for school children over 12 years of age. Education Minister Dominic Cardy says the challenge is the special handling requirements for the Pfizer vaccine which is the only one approved for that age group. But – he says details will be announced very soon.
