Port Saint John confirms some crew members aboard an oil tanker have been diagnosed with the COVID virus. In a Tweet – the Port says Public Health has advised 6 crew members have tested positive for the virus. One crew member is isolating in a designated hotel here in the city while the others are isolating onboard the ship.
The tanker – MV Mare Picenum – is anchored in one of the port’s designated anchorages in the outer harbour area. The Port says New Brunswick Public Health is the lead health authority involved.
