The COVID death toll has risen to 20 with word today of two virus related deaths in the Edmundston region. One person in their eighties died in a nursing home died earlier today. Another individual in their sixties also passed away.
The case count in the last 24-hours has jumped back into double digits with 12-new cases being reported – 10 in the Edmundston Zone – and one each in the Fredericton River Valley and Bathurst regions.
There are 221 active cases including just 9 here in the Saint John region. Seventeen people have been listed as recovered since yesterday. Public Health says 8-people are in hospital with two of them in intensive care.
The Edmundston zone remains under a LOCKDOWN while the Moncton region remains in the RED Level with the rest of the province in the Orange Level.
